A Girl Boss's Dream

A lacquered white workspace was a frequent decor dream of mine.  Figuring out how to weasel a makeshift office in a San Francisco studio; challenge accepted.  My grandmother's desk was the perfect size to transform and bring this vision to life. The tricky thing with an idea in your head and DIY is that it's not always perfect; which for me was a real test.

After a long and frustrating process of sanding and chipping away 5 layers of paint, with some serious muscle from my mom (she didn't give up even when I did multiple times and starting shopping for a new desk), I was blown away with the finished product.  It had just the sheen and look I wanted for my workspace; a Girl Boss's dream!  

The best part... it's a custom piece.  It became a blank canvas where I could surround myself with a few (ok maybe not) but a bevy of my favorite things; including investing in major computer eye candy.  Add a lucite chair, white fur and mini pinata, I was ready to take on the world from Chestnut Street.
