a Taylored Approach

6/19/2017 I Believe in PinkHello June, thank you for the heart happy weekends so far. We recently celebrated showering my sister, the bride-to-be and spent Saturday at the venue tasting a whole lot of yummy eats. I fell in love with an Aperol Spritz which is giving the dirty martini I've become quite skilled at making (of course always with blue cheese olives) a run for it's money as this summer drink is addicting and like really pretty. When my sister asked me to be her Maid of Honor, I was given a slue of my favorite things including the cutest mini bottle of Veuve but also a small accessory which dons the words of Aubrey Hepburn's adorable beliefs. True story, before the days of Pinterest, I used to keep a running Word doc with quotes I loved. A few feel good phrases to get you through your week as if you have felt anything like me lately, Sunday blues are becoming a real struggle with this amazing San Francisco summer. At first glance, I didn't think anything of the quotes. I was like oh cute, I like pink. I know happy and pretty girls. But now as I re-read each of the little lines, it's a pretty great mantra. One I've added a few thoughts and photos to as I sit on this Monday night cuddled in my DVF duvet feeling a little restless. I believe in milliennial pink. I love that I first discovered this color months ago sitting at Cafe Reveille. It was the start of the blog and little did I know a trendy hue. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I tend to be a serious Sally or so I think anyway. I used to have a hard time making fun of myself and as I entered my 30's, accepted the girl who can't use a piece of paper that is crinkled or with writing crossed out.
I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. This has never been more true until creating this blog and being happy with TC and what I have achieved. Of course, I have my moments of self doubt as I have always been my toughest critic but the early stages of my Taylored Approach project has been more fulfilling than I could have imagined. I believe that tomorrow is another day. Recently, passing year 5 living in the city, I never expected I would have stayed this long. I've discovered a true passion for my career, something that has come naturally and although, the other side of life has taken it's time, it's proven to be just as rewarding. Sending you off to dream with a glowing view of this Golden Gate beauty today. With love from Chestnut, TC Comments are closed.
