a Taylored Approach

8/6/2017 Pretty in PinkIt doesn't take much to make my heart go pitter-patter... palm print, parrots and pink walls to name a few cheeky things. Recently in San Diego, I checked off a few must see places admittedly for the decor, photo ops and of course, good company. It's invigorating to be surrounded by creative spaces that let you escape. Even better with sweet bevs and treats. First stop on the Northpark tour, Holy Matcha. I still am not quite certain what Matcha is (insert an LOL here) but I was sold on this place the second I came across a photo of their wallpaper. I had to snag one of their millennial pink business cards and loved cuddling up to a table adorned with succulents in chubby pink vases. When you walk into Matcha heaven, it's a palm leaf paradise and totally Leo's Oyster Bar's sister. The lemonade was so refreshing and the fro-yo to die for. Minty green and a hot pink swirl... how could you not swoon! Marble tabletops are the perfect canvas for capturing chic snaps. The vintage glasses are reminiscent of Pier One drinkware I've been hanging onto for years so I was thrilled to see these pink cups making a comeback. The pink tour was not complete without stopping by Pigment, an adorable mecca of succulents, party decor and office supplies. Naturally, I stocked up on pens... positivity pens to be exact. With words of encouragement like "Hello Beautiful" and "Great Idea," you are sure to have a kick-ass start to your morning. Outside of Pigment is #thatpinkwall, the dear cousin of #thatpinkdoor you all know I am obsessed with. Although the heat was making me a teeny bit cranky, my rouge jelly bag and off the shoulder maxi were the perfect duo for this balmy San Diego afternoon. My favorite snap of the day is from our first stop but a place that deserves it's very own blog post. Communal Coffee, a corner stop where coffee meets flowers and there's a sign to tell you all about it. As you venture through the shop with your cold brew and say hi to the cactus at the front, you come across a cozy seating area where you are encouraged to leave a path to the pink door. More to come from my latest travel inspirations as well as a major photo op weekend ahead with the countdown to my sister's wedding. Succulents, aperol spritz's and prints are a few things that will make an appearance.
