a Taylored Approach

7/10/2017 Those SF GemsIt's easy to forget how beautiful the city is and the countless spots that make your must-see list quite long! Over the recent long weekend, I decided it was time to play tourist starting with a quintessential San Francisco Friday night. First stop... the Tonga room. Insert Gloria Estefan's "Feel the conga beat" as this tropical paradise was #sotiki and out of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. As soon as the Jet Pilot cocktail hit my lips, I was feeling a fab buzz and ready for a hop, skip and a jump over to Top of the Mark. I hadn't been to this Nob Hill keepsake since I had first moved to the city 5 years ago, so it was a bit nostalgic. My gf and I lucked out and snagged the last and dare I say, best table. It was fate! My floral jumpsuit was thankful for such a showcase of a seat. Sparkling cosmos, crab nachos (not pictured) and sweet moments with churros + nutella (also not pictured) were the recipe for a perfect Friday night. Treats and pretty booze paired with laughs and a stunning view made me realize I don't take enough advantage of this city by the bay. The touristy weekend continued with a journey through the Summer of Love exhibit @ the De Young and always my favorite, Marina-land strolls. A restless Monday where my body was ready to go back to the office but my mind was telling me no was spent soaking in a little lantern love at Tartine Manufactory. What a cute gem where the best chocolate croissant lives and luckily I don't live right next door. More places to check off and the even better part, outfits to plan but until then, I'll leave you with a snap of that sequin lip service jacket. The current July challenge; brainstorming how I can top my sequin Golden Girls moment in the middle of the desert... stay tuned for the TC visions that become reality on this journey of my approach...
